Hi, I’m John, and I run Ashdown Spider Lift Hire with a little help from Rufus, my loyal four-legged sidekick and site supervisor.

With years of hands-on experience operating tracked spider lifts across the South East, I specialise in helping you reach difficult, high, or awkward access areas safely and efficiently.

Whether you’re working on roofs, chimneys, trees, windows, or signage, I bring a calm, capable approach to every job, and I never rush a task when safety’s involved.

Our tracked spider lift is the real deal, able to fit through doorways, tackles uneven terrain, and reaches up to 21 metres safely and efficiently.

I hold an IPAF 1B license and bring years of hands-on experience working with spider lifts across a wide range of environments, from tight alleyways and steep driveways to multi-storey buildings, gardens, and industrial estates.

Very impressive machine, cheaper than scaffolding, very good for getting to very hard to reach chimneys where you’d be spending £700+!!

Have been using them nearly a year now and will be for many more! He’s a great guy, very professional, and is also an extra pair of hands when your up there working.

John Helped me with a hazardous tree removal this week after the high winds we had on Friday. I called john Saturday morning expressing some urgency as the tree needed removing as soon as possible, he was there first things Monday morning to assist. A great service I would highly recommend.
