What Is a Cherry Picker?

A cherry picker is a type of mobile access platform that allows you to work safely at height. Ours is a Teupen Leo 21 GT, also known as a spider lift due to its stabilising legs.

Unlike traditional boom lifts or scaffolding, it’s quick to set up, compact enough to fit through tight spaces, and can be used on everything from sloped gardens to driveways or indoor floors.

Do I need a license to hire a cherry picker?

No. Our IPAF-certified operator handles the machine. You just focus on the work.

Can I use it on my driveway or lawn?

Yes. The lift runs on non-marking rubber tracks and we use protective mats on softer ground to prevent damage.

How high can it reach?

The platform can reach up to 21 metres, with up to 12 metres of outreach, great for most two- or three-storey buildings.

How wide is the machine?

It’s just 0.98m wide when retracted, meaning it fits through standard garden gates and doorways.

Is it safe?

Yes, absolutely. All lifts are serviced, safety-checked, and always operated by a trained professional. We’re fully insured for commercial and residential work.
